Oklahome Trip Part One...

The Christmas Train.....

Well in the beginning of December we went to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents and my youngest brother and sister in law. We hadn't seen them in a year so I was really excited for them to see Micah and how much he has changed.
So we left on December 6th for our 5 hour drive and actually had a really good drive up there with Micah only melting down toward the last part of the trip. We arrived at my brother's house and were able to visit with him for a little bit before he had to go to work. But Saturday night we were able to spend some time with my sister in law and had a blast playing Wii. Then on that Sunday we went to church with Stevee and that night we had gotten tickets to Christmas Train, which is a town that their church puts together during Christmas time that includes a train ride, shops, food, and so much more. So that evening we bundled up and left to go to Dry Gulch USA which is the name of the town that their church owns. We had a good 45 minute drive and it was fun to just talk and catch up with James and Stevee. We arrived at Dry Gulch and right away you could tell it was going to be fun.

We ate dinner first. James and Jeremy ate a footlong corn dog. Here's James and Stevee with part of his.Then we got in line to ride the train. The Christmas train took you through the story of the start of the world to Christ's life from birth to resurrection, through artwork and real live scenes. It was so amazing. Micah loved it and pointed to everything outside of the train windows. After the train we decided to go ride the carousel with Micah. His Aunt Stevee was a trooper and even rode on her own horse right beside Micah. He loved it. Then Jeremy and James had to do the bumper cars while Micah went with his aunt to play on the playground they had there. She even went on some slides with him. He also got to climb a web with his daddy. He had a great time. After that we did a little shopping and then got some hot chocolate and funnel cake and went to find some place warm to relax for a second. It was so cold outside the hot chocolate felt great. On our way out we saw a place where Micah could ride a mini horse. He loved every minute of it. He had a smile from ear to ear the whole time. He had such a good time at Christmas train he slept good that night. I don't think he woke up once until about 8 the next morning.

So that's the first part of our trip. Whew!!! We had a blast and can't wait to do it again.
