Dinosaur Valley State Park

Last week we decided to take Jeremy's week of vacation and take a family trip. So we packed up the kids and the dogs and hopped in the truck for a camping trip to Dinosaur Valley State Park.

It was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous the entire trip. We did a lot of exploring around the park.

We relaxed around our campground,

Played in the river,

Ate smores,

And had some more fun in the river. The water was cold but after a little while you got used to it and we had a blast.

All around the park were dinosaur tracks. It was so much fun to explore and look for these tracks.

We took a trip to Dinosaur World which was just outside the state park. The kids and dogs had a blast checking out the HUGE dinosaurs. We forgot our memory card on that day so we only got a few pictures.

The next day we drove to Fossil Rim, which is a wildlife center. We got to feed some awesome animals while we drove through it.

Jeremy loved seeing this elk. The bad thing is he wanted to mount it on our wall. ugh.

Lylah wasn't crazy about feeding the animals but she did enjoy throwing food onto the ground whether there was an animal there or not.

I forgot what this one was called but it looked really cool.

On another day we decided to venture out to Dublin, TX and check out the bottling plant for Dublin Dr. Pepper.

These are all the drinks that they bottle here.

Lylah LOVED the Dr. Pepper. Not that I blame her. Dublin Dr. Pepper is sooo much better than regular Dr. Pepper. The real sugar used in it really makes a difference.

Micah enjoyed his bottle too.

We had so much fun we stayed an extra day and hiked around the park, rode bikes, and just relaxed. It was so nice to have a break from everyday live and just enjoy each other. We are hoping to take more of these kinds of trips soon.
