This weekend was beautiful. Finally we had a few days that weren't too cold, too hot, or too windy. It was great to be able to take Micah outside and enjoy the fresh air finally. We spent most the weekend cleaning and hanging out with friends. I got to have a girls night out on Friday, it was so nice to get out of the house by myself. ;o) The weekend ended with a Superbowl party which included a game of poker and Farkel. We had a great time. Micah loves all the attention he gets from our small group. He's alway hamming it up for them. He also started to walk more this weekend. So I'm thinking he'll be mostly walking by his first birthday. He's finally figured out that walking truly is faster than crawling.
Micah is still getting over his cold. The cough and running nose seem to last forever. He has also decided that he wants to be weaned. Which is a little bit of a problem because he still has another 2 1/2 weeks till he's one. Right now he is supposed to have at least 18 ounces of breastmilk or formula a day. So with him not wanting to nurse, I have been forced to start him on formula. Today is the first day I've actually gotten him to drink it. Before he wouldn't have anything to do with it. So it looks like we'll be spending some buck on formula for a few weeks. Which is fine as long as he's getting what he needs. He's getting so indepentdent these days, it's crazy how fast he's grown up.
